Are GM Foods Safe?
Genetically modified (GM) foods may look and feel the same as conventional foods, but they are drastically (and possibly harmfully) different. Through genetic engineering, scientists have discovered how to change the DNA blueprint of certain foods. They take the genetic material (DNA) from one species and transfer it into another in order to obtain a desired trait. GM foods are promoted to help make crops resistant to disease, to increase protein and vitamin levels making food more nutritious, and to make fruit and vegetables last longer. However, when the DNA of a crop is altered by adding the genes of bacteria, viruses, insects, animals, or even humans, the resulting effects cannot be predicted. Many studies show there are damaging side effects to this process and that it may not be in our best interest to consume these foods. Any item that is not organic may be genetically modified. Be aware of and avoid the most common GM foods, which include soy, corn, canola, and cotton. These items and derivatives of these are found in countless food products. Unfortunately, a law may go into effect to ban labeling for GMOs on food labels - call your senator today 888-897-0174 to voice your opinion.

Sheryl lives with her husband, Bob, and is the mother of a fourteen-year-old daughter (Grace) and an ten-year-old son (Nick); the inspiration for her interest in health and nutrition, and her desire to eat properly and raise a healthy family. "From my experience as a nutritionist and as a wife and mother desiring a healthy family," Sheryl says, "I recognize the importance of carefully selecting the type of food we eat, knowing where our food comes from, and buying foods in their most natural state from local farmers whenever possible."
I suffered from a rash on both hands for nine months. Every doctor I visited for help, just diagnosed me with eczema and prescribed a steriod-cream. However, I desired more answers and a natural cure. While searching for help, Sheryl suggested a change in my diet and food choices. Along with creating a temporary new diet plan, she suggested specific supplements that would aid by body in its healing process. After a short three months on Sheryl's plan, the eczema cleared up completely! I can not thank her enough for her help!
