This past weekend, I read two wonderful books. I would like to tell you about these books as I feel that they should be part of anyone’s health library. The first is Mark Sircus’ Medical Marijuana. Later this weekend, I will tell you about Norm Shealy’s book, Living Bliss.
Medical Marijuana is written by Dr. Mark Sircus. Mark and I have been friends and colleagues for a number of years.
A holistic doctor friend of mine (who asked not to be named) is responsible for introducing me to this book. I will call him Dr. X. Over the years, Dr. X and I have attended many classes and traded many books and articles. Dr. X told me that he was using medical marijuana in his practice with good success for treating cancer, autoimmune disorders, pain, as well as other conditions. He told me the best book about marijuana that he has seen was Dr. Sircus’ book.
When I received Medical Marijuana, I was intrigued. This book is long—over 700 pages–and contains a wealth of information about medical marijuana. There are chapters about marijuana toxicity, cancer, autism, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, disease, and multiple sclerosis. Furthermore, there is information about cannabis and diabetes.
This book may seem long, but it is written in an easy-to-read format. I finished Medical Marijuana in two days.
After reading this book, I called Dr. Sircus to tell him how much I enjoyed it and how good it was. This book markedly increased my knowledge about the medicinal uses of marijuana.
Further researching the medicinal uses of marijuana confirmed what Dr. Sircus wrote in his book. After reading the case histories in this book as well as looking at youtube videos of patients who treated a variety of conditions with marijuana, it is hard to comprehend why marijuana hasn’t been better studied and why it is not legal for all medicinal purposes. Marijuana may be able to end the suffering of many patients.
Anyone interested in marijuana and other natural therapies should read this book. Thank you Dr. Sircus for writing it.
